We are excited to invite you to the 38th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Observance to be held on Monday, January 19th, 2026 at 6:30 P.M. at the Arlington Town Hall Auditorium at 730 Mass. Ave., Arlington, MA, 02476. The evening observance will honor the wisdom and legacy of our civil rights leader in public fellowship.
This year's program will feature the visionary Jackie Jenkins-Scott as our keynote speaker. Ms. Jenkins- Scott was the first African American President of Wheelock College, and most recently served as the interim President of Roxbury Community College. Prior to these esteemed roles, she headed the Dimmock Health Center, and brings a wealth of experience and success at improving educational outcomes.
Throughout the year, the Arlington MLK Jr. Observance Committee supports progressive causes in the name and honor of Dr. King. Your donation will allow us to keep funding our college scholarships, contribute to initiatives that advance equity and justice, and ensure that this beloved community event will continue annually to celebrate Dr. King's legacy.
We recognize three tiers of sponsorship and list sponsors’ names accordingly in our program booklet and on our website.
- Civil Rights Patriots: $50 - $199
- Marchers for Justice: $200 - $499
- Freedom Fighters: $500 and Up
We hope to see you on January 19th!
