Arjun's Healthy Initiative - Eagle Project

My name is Arjun Puri, and I am a member of Troop 146 Boy Scouts in Hoboken, NJ. For the culmination of my 12 years in Scouting, I’ve planned my Eagle Scout project: leading an effort to cook and serve a full meal, prepared by my Troop, for those in need to benefit the guests of the Hoboken Homeless Shelter. With help from fellow Scouts, I conducted a survey to better understand the guests’ dietary needs and preferences. Based on the results, I’m designing a nutritious and flavorful meal tailored to their health requirements.

A common request was for fresh vegetables and meats—items the shelter rarely receives due to high costs and storage challenges. Through this project, I plan to raise funds to purchase fresh, healthy ingredients for a special meal. Any remaining funds will be donated to the shelter to support future meals with fresh components.

Please help me make this meal a meaningful and uplifting experience for the guests. Access to fresh, nutritious food can make a real difference in their lives.
