Raising Money for JBFC

Hello friends and family,
On July 13th, Ari Gootnick and Daniel Ungar will be traveling to East Africa to connect, educate, and build relationships with girls and young women in a small Tanzanian orphanage that provides safety and opportunity.
There are more than 1,000,000 children orphaned in Tanzania due to HIV/AIDS and malaria. Approximately, another million are forced to live on the streets because of extreme poverty and neglect. JBFC, a non-profit organization, believes no child should have to grow up in extreme poverty. JBFC takes a comprehensive approach to alleviating extreme rural poverty by providing refuge for 42 girls ages 4-17, primary, secondary, and vocational education for hundreds of boys and girls, access to quality healthcare, and economic development through agriculture.
I will be joining JBFC in Tanzania, where I will be teaching and taking part of an individual project.

1. Posters of our world
Many of these students will not be able to travel and see our world in person, so it is my goal to bring it to them. These posters will display our world through photography - a visual journey into the most well-known landmarks around the globe. Posters will be placed in the classrooms.
2. Soccer Jerseys
Soccer is the #1 sport in Tanzania. Everyday after school, the students play soccer. I would like to purchase reversable soccer jerseys to enhance there soccer experience.
3. School Supplies
I truly beleive the best gift is through education. I will be bringing an assortment of school supplies from calculators to colored pencils.
