Spende geschützt
Hello everyone!
For those of you who don't know us, we are the Salinas family. I am going to write a quick synopsis of our adoption below, so please scroll down to catch up.
We are here to ask you for help again. Ari is turning 5 on January 19th and we would like to go and celebrate her special day with her in Korea. To most people, your birthday is a day where you can look back and reminisce about the last year of your life. To others, the reminder of being born is not always associated with rainbows and butterflies.
We have already missed Thanksgiving and we are going to miss Christmas with her. We have come to terms with this. What we don't want to do is sit back and let her birthday pass by without being able to celebrate her life with her. We never want her to look back and think negative thoughts about her birthday. Ari being born has been one of the most important days to our family. Her birth is a reason to celebrate! She is so full of love and life. We know that there are mighty plans waiting ahead for her.
This is why we are needing help. The flights for both Gabe and I to go to Korea cost $2,500. Gabe is in the process of taking leave from his job. By the time that we get to see her it will have been 221 days(over 7 months) since I have seen Ari, and it will be 239 days(8 months) since Gabe has seen her. That is entirely way too long for any child to have to unwillingly not be able to see their parents. We need your help. Please consider donating any amount that you can.
***Adoption History
In August of 2017 we took in a little 2 year old girl. We believed that we were just going to foster her, but boy did things change. Fast forward to spring of 2019. Gabe had orders with the army to be stationed back in the US. The adoption was not complete and we had to leave Korea. We have 2 biological children that are missing her terribly. Ari is currently staying with our wonderful friends in Korea, not in an orphanage, PTL!
We continue to do everything that the Korean courts ask us to do. We covet your prayers. We never imagined that the adoption process would span out over 2 years. We are emotionally exhausted. We need our little girl to join us to complete our family.
