SHE Scotland is a driving force for future generations of girls and women, supporting them to realise their potential and positively impact their community.

SHE aims to empower, support and improve the life chances of girls and women in Scotland. Based in Edinburgh, SHE is Scotland in ambition and name. We deliver programmes in informal and formal education settings in 3 regions, Edinburgh, Fife and Angus areas.

SHE has been delivering support to girls and women since 2018 and is a Community Interest Company that has a social objective of re-investing any surplus made in developing new and existing services. SHE has supported over 3000 girls and women.

Our new Know Your Flow, Menopause Support, Mentoring and Ambassador programme and training for women seeks to tackle the decline in mental health, and management of everyday stress, anxiety, and loneliness by encouraging meaningful relationships and enhancing mental/physical wellbeing. SHE programmes to increase awareness and knowledge around issues which affect girls and women.

SHE also delivers other informal and formal programmes in partnership with education. Our KYF, Menopause, Mentoring and Ambassador programmes are not resourced through this partnership and SHE is seeking YOUR support to enable these vital services to be delivered throughout Scotland.

Know Your Flow workshops support females to connect, learn, embrace and grow in a relaxed and safe environment. Supported to learn more about products, reflect on quality, variety and understanding the impact of our menstrual cycle on every area of our life. Participants will learn tools, methods, and share experiences to improve their health and wellbeing.

Menopause can be a scary word for some women and is often misunderstood or misinterpreted. No 2 women experience menopause in the same way, and with over 50 common symptoms, it is no wonder menopause is often misdiagnosed and overlooked leaving women confused, worried and very often ashamed and embarrassed. Menopause Matters workshops will take participants through a tour of menopause and the ways in which you can take control of your OWN journey and/or support loved ones as they navigate their journey. The menopause journey can be another time in a woman's life where she feels like the passenger but there are many ways that YOU can put yourself back in the driver's seat and take control by taking part in our workshops.

SHE Mentoring provides vital support for girls and women. Mentoring support is tailored to the needs of the individual and will support connecting, learning, healing, and growing in a relaxed friendly space. It is a referred service and mentees take part voluntarily. The goal of mentoring is to help the mentee learn and develop. Often, the relationship focuses on growing complex skills such as positive peer relationships, confidence, self-esteem and setting realistic goals for the future.

Ambassador training participants will also be encouraged to enhance SHE community programmes throughout areas of Edinburgh, Fife & Angus. Participants will be trained to enable the delivery of specifically designed community-based programmes for children and young adults. Enhancing their employability skills, volunteering opportunities and developing vital life skills. Enabling young adults to self-manage and to gain tools to increase resilience and problem-solving skills. Participants will benefit individuals developing action plans, SMART goal setting and connecting positively with others. Participants will be offered individual mentoring support to enable them to achieve positive outcomes.

SHE hopes that YOUR support will increase support, improve mental well-being and create positive pathways for girls and women.

Support would enable SHE to provide snacks, refreshments, venue, equipment, travel reimbursement, tutor and staff time. Funding would also enable SHE to increase opportunities for more of the above service and to enhance our existing programmes.
