Ardscoil Rís Zambia Immersion Project 2024

On March 14th 2024 ten Transition and 5th year students from Ardscoil Rís Griffith Avenue will travel to Zambia to participate in the school’s Zambian Immersion project.

Since 2003, when the first trip took place, the school has forged strong links with Zambia and a number of different ongoing projects there.

The students, along with three teachers, will bring clothes and school supplies to schools, an orphanage and Chesire home for disabled children run by an Irish nun Sr. Cathy Crawford.

Between now and March a fundraising target of €25,000 has been set.

They are running a number of events to try and raise this sum by church gate collections, Bag packing, school soccer night, music night, quizzes, etc.

This Gofundme will allow supporters to make donations towards the Zambian Immersion project’s fundraising efforts.
