Arcata West African Dance and Drum Camp Fareta Fund

Arcata West African Dance and Drum Community is asking for your help. We are raising funds to bring our local dance teachers and drummers to Camp Fareta. Camp Fareta offers multiple Master Drum and Dance classes daily, taught by some of the world's best teachers from West Africa. We learn traditional rhythms and cultural history, all in a village/community setting. This is truly a unique camp experience.

Arcata West African Dance and Drum Community is a dedicated group of students of West African rhythms that gather weekly for dance classes with live drumming. We use all proceeds from our classes to bring Master teachers to Humboldt County. This has been our tradition for decades. Our local dance teachers generously donate their time to prepare and teach weekly classes, which we couldn't do without our local drummers. We often get recognized by visiting Master teachers as a special community that holds the integrity of their music and dance. Our dance teachers and drummers are amazing community contributors, and we want to help them extend their studies so they can continue to grow and share with Arcata/Humboldt.
