Support Brandon's Effort to Reunite Family

Hi, my name is Brandon Grizzell. 3 years ago, my wife and the mother of my children passed away. Three months later, I was taken away from them due to a DUI I received two years prior. I had to give temporary custody of my children to their grandparents while I served a two-year sentence. I have been home since September 6th, 2024, and have been struggling just to start the 3-phase process to get them back with me.

The court requires I have a 5329 evaluation before I can even start the first phase of visitation. Unfortunately, just getting home from incarceration and trying to pick up the pieces has left me with no funds to pay for the evaluation. I work full-time and I am still living paycheck to paycheck. I am having difficulty saving the money I need for the evaluation due to having to pay fines, parole fees, rent, and bills. My paycheck is gone the minute I get it.

I love my children very much. They are a part of me. It breaks my heart when we have our weekly video visit and they tell me how much they want to see me and ask when they will be able to. I want with every fiber of my being to get this process started so I can get them back in my home as soon as possible. I am doing everything possible to make sure I can give them the best life when I finally regain custody. I work full-time, I am going to school at LCCC for my degree in psychology, and I am maintaining a safe environment for them to thrive in. All I need now is to get this evaluation done so I can start the process of bringing them home. Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated.

I just wanna hug my kids again and be there for them physically as a father. It hurts seeing them on a screen every weekend and knowing I cannot hold them until this evaluation is done.
