If you’ve crossed paths with Nicole as a friend, coworker, collaborator, or peer, you’ve heard a Milo story, seen a Milo photo, or met him curled up nearby, quietly running the show. For 15 years, Milo has been Nicole’s constant—her shadow, her comfort, her tiny but mighty best friend, and the steady presence behind so many long days, late nights, from music festivals to big career moments.

Over the past few weeks, Milo has been dealing with serious health issues, including pancreatitis and kidney disease (near kidney failure), which required emergency hospitalization and intensive care. While the road ahead is still uncertain, there have been hopeful steps forward. Milo is now off of his feeding tube, eating on his own, and regaining the energy we know and love.

Keeping Milo stable requires ongoing hydration, frequent monitoring, and specialist care to determine the safest next steps. If you have a pet in your life, you know how quickly vet bills can become unmanageable. Nicole has already spent over $12,000 on emergency treatment, and the costs continue to add up with continued care, imaging, and consultations.
