After 1.5 years of attempting to re-establish myself in the U.S., it has become crystal clear that there is greater opportunity and overall stability abroad and have begun the process of relocating to Europe.

This decision was prompted through deep reflection on how my nervous system has been feeling while living in the U.S. and by a recent acceptance I received into an MA in Choreography program.

This GoFundMe is initiated with the intention to support me with securing the funds that I need to cover my living expenses while I am studying within this MA.

I was blessed to receive a very competitive scholarship that covers tuition and health insurance for the two years of the studies, but in order to concretize this opportunity I need to lock in the financial support cover my monthly costs. The university made a surprise exception for me solely for this first semester where I have been able to engage with the program remotely.

As a dance artist with various access needs, working long hours in front of a computer or standing for several hours on end is simply not physically possible for me, which has made securing traditional employment opportunities quite challenging. This is why I am turning towards GoFundMe as the platform to help me secure the funds that I need.

At minimum, my goal is to gather $1,125/month times the remaining months of the program (16.5) = approximately $18k - $19k.

Your donations will be allocated in the following manner:

Residency Permit Application Processing Fee = $150 (received and allocated)

Monthly Public Transport Pass (x) 16 months = $1,808 (needed by Jan. 12, 2026)

Minimum Monthly Requirement / Goal ($1125 x 16.5 months of the program aka Jan. 2026 - June 2027 to cover my rent, groceries, utilities, medical visits, etc) = $18562.5 (ongoing)

Note: I am already traveling throughout Europe for the holidays on my tourist visa, which is why flight costs are not included in the aforementioned amounts.

This semester, I have been infused with inspiration and a new sense of hope as I continue to engage with the cohort, supervisors, and guest artists and can already feel momentum being generated within my body, cellularly-emotionally-physically-intellectually. This forward movement is one of the greatest gifts especially after such a tumultuous time frame. I can already envision how the two years I will commit to this program will have long-lasting impacts on my life and overall holistic well-being. I feel proud to say that I finally feel ready to commit to staying in one place for a while and if you know me well, you know that this is a big deal for me! *cue the tiny harps and violins*
