The Bromley Skate Park project : Grant application
Donation protected
* Help us apply for a grant from the Platinum Jubilee Parks Fund, for the Bromley Church House Gardens Skate Park! *
UPDATE: We have secured the grant!! We are now looking to raise more in order to help this project be the best it can be!
Hey I’m Charlotte, a Youth worker at Bromley Town Church. The Church is located right in the centre of Bromley, not far from the Bromley skate park.
We would like to apply for a £20,000 grant from the Platinum Jubilee Park fund for the Skate Park but in order to apply we need to raise a minimum of £500!
We are hoping this grant will enable general repairs on the existing ramps, provide new mini ramp, a manual pad and
resurfacing the lower section tarmac areas. This will provide more practise space for beginners and intermediate skaters, before eventually moving onto the larger ramps!
The skate park is used daily for exercise, sport and plus it has positive impact on the wellbeing and mental health for the local community.
The skate park provides a space for the Bromley Youth Support Programme and other charities like Youth For Christ to have direct work with young people, providing skate lessons free of charge. There is also opportunities for therapeutic and practical interventions such as mental health support, advice and guidance regarding sexual health, housing, education, employment, training and mentorship!.
We need a minimum of £500, but any raised in excess will also be added straight into the project fund total. The more we have the more we can do!
The project will be completed by contractors commissioned by the council and we are hoping for it to be completed by the end of 2024.
THANK YOU & Spread the word!!
