Historia:

Mi nombre es Mayeli Cordero y hoy me veo en la necesidad de pedir ayuda para mi esposo, Gabriel Dugarte.

En el día de hoy, mientras realizaba un delivery de nuestro negocio familiar cerca del aeropuerto de Orlando, fue detenido por un oficial de ICE. Gabriel no cometió ninguna infracción de tránsito, no tiene delitos ni multas pendientes. Es un hombre trabajador, padre dedicado y proveedor de nuestro hogar.

Fue esposado en plena jornada laboral, algo que nos llena de angustia porque él no es un delincuente. Somos una familia que cumple con sus deberes en este país y que trabaja todos los días con esfuerzo y honestidad.

Hasta este momento no sabemos exactamente dónde se encuentra detenido. Solo pudo llamarme brevemente para decirme que, por ahora, está en Orlando. La incertidumbre es devastadora.

Tenemos tres hijos que hoy preguntan dónde está su papá. Ellos no entienden por qué no regresó a casa. Nuestra familia depende de él emocional y económicamente, y esta situación afecta profundamente nuestro día a día.

Estamos solicitando apoyo para cubrir gastos legales, trámites migratorios y los gastos básicos del hogar mientras enfrentamos este proceso. Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, hace una gran diferencia para nosotros.

Urgent Support for Gabriel, a Father Detained by ICE in Orlando

Story:

My name is Mayeli Cordero, and today I am asking for help for my husband, Gabriel Dugarte.

Earlier today, while he was making a delivery for our family business near the Orlando airport, he was stopped and detained by an ICE officer. Gabriel did not commit any traffic violation, and he has no criminal record or outstanding tickets. He is a hardworking man, a devoted father, and the provider for our home.

He was handcuffed during his workday, which has caused us deep anguish because he is not a criminal. We are a family that fulfills our responsibilities in this country and works every day with honesty and dedication.

At this moment, we still do not know exactly where he is being held. He was only able to call me briefly to say that, for now, he is somewhere in Orlando. The uncertainty is overwhelming.

We have three children who are asking where their father is. They do not understand why he has not come home. Our family depends on him both emotionally and financially, and this situation is deeply affecting our daily lives.

We are asking for support to help cover legal expenses, immigration-related processes, and basic household needs while we face this difficult situation. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference for our family.
