My name is Sara. I’m a mother who came to the United States hoping to build a better life. I’ve worked in everything I could, always trying to provide for my family with dignity and hard work.

Being a mom to a young daughter makes it really hard to take on multiple jobs, as I also need to care for her. Most of what I earn goes to cover basic daily needs, which makes saving here almost impossible.

Right now, I’m going through a challenging emotional and financial period, and for the well-being of my daughter, I’ve considered returning to my home country. My goal is to save enough to have a stable foundation so that one day I can have our own home and return with peace of mind, without the constant worry of paying rent.

I want to be very clear: I don’t expect, nor do I need, any one person to cover the full goal. This fundraiser represents a long-term goal, and any amount, no matter how small, makes a real difference and brings us one step closer.

I also have some medical expenses pending here in the U.S., as well as financial obligations back home, which makes this process even more challenging.
