- Viven abusos en vivienda o explotación laboral sin saber que tienen derechos.
No es falta de voluntad.
Es que la información no llega a tiempo, no es clara o no está en su idioma.

Soy Yonatan Matheus, trabajador social y defensor de derechos humanos.
Acompaño a personas LGBTQIA+ migrantes —especialmente solicitantes de asilo y personas que viven con VIH— a través de información, orientación y apoyo comunitario.
Hoy realizo este trabajo de forma independiente.

In New York, LGBTQIA+ migrants face urgent situations.
- Many struggle to navigate and actively work on their asylum cases due to lack of clear, accessible information.
- They miss appointments due to lack of information.
- They interrupt healthcare —including HIV treatment— or face trauma without support.
- They experience housing abuse or labor exploitation without knowing their rights.
This is not lack of effort.
It happens because information is not accessible, clear, or timely.

I support LGBTQIA+ migrants —especially asylum seekers and people living with HIV— through information, guidance, and community care.
