We are the Spring 2017 pledge class of Alpha Phi Omega Theta Chapter, a co-ed service fraternity at the University of Virginia. Each semester, the current pledge class raises money to organize and execute a day-long service project in Charlottesville, to benefit our local community and to promote our values of leadership, friendship, and service.
This Spring, we will be working at Elk Hill Group Home, which gives a natural home environment for young men aged 14-18. Elk Hill focuses on orienting young people with behavioral and emotional challenges towards core values including respect, lifelong learning, responsibility, hard work, and courage. The group home works to engage its residents with educational, employment, and volunteer opportunities, and provides them with a strong support system to encourage independent living skills. With an extremely dedicated but small group of people running the home, our 90+ APO members working an eight hour day in their community would make a real difference. With our help, Elk Hill can better pursue its mission without being burdened by their current need for restoration of the physical home.

At Elk Hill, we will spend the day doing a variety of projects, both indoors and outdoors, to benefit this organization and the important work that they are doing in our community. 100% of donations will go directly towards the resources needed to complete this project and leave a lasting impact on the Charlottesville community.
Our project will be held on Saturday, March 18. We will continue to post more details as the project approaches, so continue to check back in to the page!
