Hi, my name is Gaby, help me buy and adapt (special needs) an apartment for me and my brother in Latin America (life and medical care is less expensive in south America).

I have the blessing of a little brother (not so little anymore because he’s taller than me), Gabriel was born with Dandy-Walker Syndrome, is a rare condition that affects motor skills, and brain development. My brother is my favourite person in the whole world, he is funny and loving but struggles with moving in stairs, spaces with tall ceilings, steps of any kind, he can be loud and doesn’t like to be touched, only hugging close family and when asked, he also needs constant attention, doesn’t like to be alone and has a lot of needs, like his little emotional support dog, a special diet, a little of OCD and is on the Spectrum. We live in a world where society is not well educated or even kind about people with special needs, he’s physically 27 years old, but mentally he’s around 8 years old. Gabriel won’t get better, there’s not a cure or surgery or even medication that can help him, the only thing that helps are routine days and physical therapy, as his big sister, 38 years old single and childless, my desire is an easy life for him, is not about luxury, is about gifting a life full of love, calm, care and comfort to a tall boy that will always be a small boy. We dream with a space that is ours, an open floor designed in a way that allows him at least a little of independence and taking in mind his needs, he has a 95% level of disability, meaning that I’m a 24/7 caregiver and remote worker. I’m giving it a year, if the goal is not reached the funds will be allocated to our living expenses, food, transportation, medical bills and others.
