Aoibhinn and Evenys fundraising for Clionas Foundation
Hi, our names are Aoibhínn and Eveny, TY students in John the Baptist Community School, Co. Limerick, and we are on the road to raising €2,000 for Cliona’s Foundation. In May 2025, we will start our journey and walk the Camino de Santiago, in solidarity with the hundreds of families across Ireland who are caring for a child with a life limiting illness.
Cliona’s Foundation supports families all over the country and over the past 16 years has provided financial assistance to over 1,450 families. The foundation was founded by Brendan and Terry Ring after the death of their daughter Cliona, from an inoperable brain tumor in 2006 aged 16. Over the years, Brendan and Terry were struck by the number of families facing enormous financial hardship from mounting non-medical expenses. They decided to take action and set up Cliona’s Foundation in honour of their daughter, a registered charity that uniquely provides financial assistance to families caring for sick children.
Thank you for taking the time to contribute to this incredible cause and we really appreciate the support towards this trip!!
