Glenwood Accessible Home Project

Glenwood of Antrim along with help from other amazing partners are fund raising to support Beth and her family make life changing amendments to her home in our non profit renovation project.

Beth is a 10 year old girl who has been born with a rare one in a million brain condition called lissencephaly. Her smooth brain has meant that while physically perfect she has complex needs and is totally dependant on her family for 24/7 care. She is profoundly disabled, is non verbal and partially sighted. She suffers from epilepsy which is getting more difficult to control. However she has the most wonderful smile and is very resilient with all that she has to deal with.

This project is part funded by NIHE and radius housing association, but unfortunately the grant falls short of providing the specification and finish this family needs and deserves. With the help of other great local businesses Glenwood of Antrim will make up this shortfall. In particular we hope to raise a minimum of £10,000 to fund a very specific rise and fall bath which will significantly improve Beth's quality of life and greatly assist her carers. Anything that is raised above this target will be used for external home improvements such as an accessible garden and perhaps a respite break for the family.

Everyone involved would greatly appreciate any contributions and hope you can follow our journey on our socials.
