On Tuesday 9 September we had the brutal racist and sexual attack on a British born Sikh woman in her 20s in Oldbury.
A few weeks ago there was a vicious racist assault on two elderly Sikh taxi drivers in their 60s and 70s in Wolverhampton.
Both attacks took place in broad daylight and there has been global media coverage.
Politicians from all political parties must have zero tolerance for all violent racist attacks, especially those targeting women and elders.
The current racist political environment is driven by popularism and created by politicians playing the “anti-immigration card’ who are unashamedly exploiting those with right-wing and racist views.
Leading politicians, like the Prime Minister and the new Home Secretary are silent on Anti-Sikh hate and failed to condemn these brutal racist attacks.
Funds raised will encourage reporting of Anti-Sikh hate crimes and support victims of Anti-Sikh hate where appropriate.
Update: Officers investigating the brutal racist sexual attack and rape in Oldbury of a Sikh woman in her 20s have this evening (Sunday 14 September) arrested a man.
The man, in his 30s, was detained as part of enquiries into the assault in the Tame Road area on Tuesday morning. He remains in custody tonight on suspicion of rape.
