Anti-Carceral Funds
Donation protected
24th March marks the anniversary of visits being cancelled across all prisons in England and Wales. Covid-19 restrictions mean many inside spend up to 23.5hrs a day in their cell, and work being cancelled for any who’s jobs were deemed ‘non-essential’, meaning even less money available to make life inside bearable.
Being incarcerated is expensive. Those held captive by the state are paid very little for their labour (approx. £10 per week) and basic necessities such as phone credit, toiletries and food can only be accessed through the overpriced canteen system.
We are fundraising to ensure Clara, Kevan and Taz have access to these vital provisions. We are also fundraising to support Siyanda's appeal against her conviction for defending herself against racist violence (see @FreeSiyanda on instagram).
As per the gofundme terms of service, no raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe
