Anthony's Pizza & Catering- Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
In the early hours of February 4th, the Bernardsville Fire Company was called out to an active fire at Anthony’s Pizza & Catering on Claremont Road. Despite their quick and heroic actions, the fire caused “fairly extensive” damage to the building. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Anthony’s has been a staple of the Bernardsville community for many years. Steve Prince (owner since 2018) and the extended Anthony’s family have been generous donors in the community- donating (or heavily discounting) meals to school groups and community events and eagerly partnering with local businesses.
As Steve and his team process the losses, it is clear there are immediate needs that if not met, will be detrimental to the future of Anthony’s, its employees and the community. The pandemic and increased costs of goods and services have been ongoing challenges for Steve, but he has worked tirelessly to keep Anthony’s in the community and continue to serve his customers with reasonable prices and high quality meals.
At this time Steve does not plan to re-open Anthony’s at the existing Claremont location. He is seeking alternative locations to start fresh within the Bernardsville community, as he has developed a love for the town and its residents. Unfortunately, available restaurant real estate is not plentiful in Bernardsville so he may be forced to reopen in a neighboring town.
Many of you have reached out to ask how you can help Steve and keep Anthony’s afloat during this time- your donation will help Steve and the team recover and formulate a plan to move forward and once again bring delicious food and excellent customer service to the area! Thank you in advance and please help spread the word.
