Answer to a Father and his Daughters Prayers

I am the mother of an amazing young man. Michael Smith has been fighting for what is best for his daughter Lily for the better part of the 9 years of her life. He has jumped through every hoop the Kentucky Commonwealth could dole out. Now don't get me wrong, he was young, he made mistakes, but when it came to what Lilianna needed in her life, he did what was needed to get his girl. He has been raising her with temporary custody most of her life.

Last week Michael received a text message from the Kentucky Court, the Judge was trying to reach him. When he was able to respond he was told to be available today 08/20/2023 the judge would be calling him to give him full custody of Lily. He was walking on a cloud the best news he could have gotten. Mike waited all day trying to work. At 5:00pm he got a call from the court and the court found that there was another case still open from 2019. So if Mike. wanted custody he would have hire an attorney to file a motion for custody. He is barely making it on his own trying to make ends meet in this economy, no support, no help from Lily's mother she is an addict, she has not bothered to do anything the court has asked of her. She is physically and verbally abusive. She has failed every drug test court had her do. She has overdosed and been given narcan. Her younger son had been given to his father. My goal is to try to raise enough money for an attorney. Or maybe there is an attorney that can see this is not going to be a long drawn out case, a motion to close an open case from over 4 years ago and a motion for full custody. I know it will help both Michael and Lily feel safe to have the fear of losing each other over for good. Help does not have to be financial happy for any advise! Thanks
