My name is Ansley Johnson and I’m an 8th grade student at the Waldorf School of Atlanta. For my end-of-year school project, I chose to write and produce an original song and was lucky to have a mentor from the Songs for Kids Foundation.
To give back, I have been helping others with music mentorship and have also set a goal to raise $1500 for the Songs for Kids Foundation. Songs for Kids is a non-profit organization that teaches kids with serious health conditions how to play music. These musicians can write songs and play music with their amazing and incredibly talented mentors. Over the last few weeks, I have supported others at the foundation, and it really opened my eyes to how music therapy can have a significant impact on anyone because it allows people to express creativity and inspire others to do the same. All funds raised will go to Songs for Kids.
A little more about me…
If you don’t know me or my family, I have a passion for music and have seen how much of an impact music has had on my brother, Nolan, who has GRIN2B and autism. He has been going to Songs for Kids for over 5 years, and he absolutely loves it!!!!
Your support will help us continue these important initiatives for kids like my brother and so many others around the USA.
Thank you for your generosity!
