We are the Krinke Family. We have 5 children in our home and a son waiting for us in Ukraine. We would like to share with you how we know this boy is our son and why we are working so hard to bring him home.
After the birth of our third biological child in 2009 we believed our family was complete. Brad and I both felt a strong confirmation that our son was our last infant. We knew we were moving beyond the childbearing years. This turned out to be true, but not in the way we had assumed. In October of 2010 God put the call of adoption on our hearts. We knew we were going to adopt "some day" and that our family was not complete.
The following August, in 2011, we were both clearly lead by the Spirit to begin our adoption process. We later descovered we had submitted our adoption application the same week that our son was born in Russia. We felt an unusual sense of urgency. We could not explain it, but we knew we needed to hurry.
Jacob came home from Russia November 3, 2012 at age 13 months. He is an immense blessing to our family. Just 8 weeks after he arrived home, the Russian adoption ban was put into place. Suddenly, we understood why we had been urged forward.
Just one week after Jacob came home, Brad and I began discussing China. We had felt the call to China before completing our Russian adoption. We assumed we would take at least a year or two to settle in with our precious new family member and to allow our finances to recover from a Russian adoption. The average adoption from Russia was $50,000. Ours was above average.
But the urgency returned. So we took a huge leap of faith and began our second adoption on May 3, 2013, just 6 months after Jacob had arrived home and with $0.00 set aside for another adoption. We were Spirit lead and confident that God was calling us to another child. Through the following months we watched miracle after miracle unfold before us. One year and another $33,000 later, our amazing little boy arrived home from China, July 2014, at age 6 years. Ty has been home just 3 months and he is blowing the socks off of everyone around him. This is a very special little boy, hand-picked by our Father in Heaven to be in our family.
Now here we are again, thinking it would be really nice to take a break from fundraising, thinking it would make a lot more sense to focus on the newest addition to our family, but feeling that same urgency we felt before. God has hand-picked another young man for our family. This time an adoption that will stretch us even further than before. This time circumstances that make even less logical sense. But yet again more spiritual confirmation than we can handle, a peace and assurance that this is what we must do. And that we must do it now. Our 15 year old son is waiting. He will age out if we do not move now. But we will not fear. A way has already been made.
As we step forward in faith, as we set out to complete our 3rd international adoption in 3 years, will you join with us? Will you follow and share our story? Will you prayerfully consider supporting us as we work toward bringing this boy to his family? He knows we are coming. Can you help us get there?
We give all praises and glory to our Father in Heaven who has created such a beautiful and unbelievable story in each of our children. Only He could have knit our family together in this way. We are eager to step forward in faith for His purpose yet again.
