I’m setting this page up for a young lad who has just been through something no child should ever have to face. On what should have been his first day of senior school, he came downstairs to find his mam had sadly passed away in the kitchen.

This is obviously a traumatic time for any kid, let alone one about to start a brand new school. He won’t be starting until at least after the funeral, him, his big brother and his dad are now facing some tough days and big changes ahead.

I really wanted to do something nice for them — to give them the chance to step away from it all for a little while. My hope is to raise enough for them to have a short break together in a lodge or caravan, somewhere peaceful where they can spend some time together before the funeral. Keeping it anonymous for now as I dont want to embarrass him.
