Annie's Future Home

Donation protected
Annie this past Fall with her cousins Kaia and Lily.

I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of my 22-year-old niece, Adrianna Stieb. If you know her, you know she goes by Annie. Annie has mental and physical disabilities including Autism and as a result, cannot be on her own. Her father tragically died in a car accident in 2014 and her mother is not in her life, thus I became her legal guardian.

Despite the losses of her childhood and teenage years, Annie is a happy, healthy adult now. Thanks to programs like Easterseals and caretakers like Lisa Reese, who cared for Annie when we lived in Florida, Annie has gotten the support and development she needs through the years.

Since moving to Georgia, we were introduced to an organization called
JUST People. JUST People has quickly become a welcoming community for Annie. She attends their day program where she does art projects, takes trips to the local attractions like Braves Stadium, zoo, and Annie's favorite, the bowling alley.

ANNIE'S FUTURE
JUST People also has a residential program which we have been waiting for a space in. COVID has delayed the process but as of this week (12/7) Annie was given the green light to move in to one of their facilities, where she will be able to live independently with the support of on-site staff and a community of people just like her. While this is the best long term program and place for Annie, it comes at a cost. The monthly housing and day program is a base of $2,750. Plus Annie's necessities (food, toiletries, activities) which are an additional $300-500 each month. Our family is out-of-pocket a minimum of $2,200, after the federal support Annie receives.

WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP
In addition to these monthly costs, JUST People requires a $10,000 deposit at move-in, which we are hoping this GoFundMe can help contribute to.

She continues to have a love for DVDs, specifically action and horror, and anything with a villain character. Try to quiz her, she's un-stumpable when it comes to movie trivia! She also enjoys puzzles and taking her daily walk. And the biggest highlight of her years was visiting Star Wars in Disney World. Please help Annie continue thriving and be in the best environment for her.

THANK YOU
For everyone who donates, Annie will write a personal thank you note, and you might even get a drawing. She loves to draw! Thank you in advance for your support. This next step in Annie's life is very important.
