Anna Loya's Journey: Liver Transplant & Healing
Donation protected
Hello family and friends. As some of you may know, my dear friend, Anna Loya is currently hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai hospital. She has been awaiting a life-saving liver transplant, and by the grace of God, she was blessed to receive a donor liver on Thursday evening April 25th. Thus far, her surgery seems to have been a huge success but her recovery is far from over. It will be a very long journey for Anna.
She was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a chronic autoimmune disease that has severely damaged her liver.
It’s been a long and difficult journey — from the time it took Pomona Valley Hospital to recognize just how urgently she needed a liver transplant, to finally getting her to Cedars
This process has kept Anna off work since April 7th, and with each passing day, the worry of not being able to provide for her family has added undue stress, since she’s the sole provider.
Anna is a devoted mother to three children-her two sons, Xavier and Ricky, and her daughter Lizette, who is still in high school-all of whom are in desperate need of their mother to focus on her recovery, rather than focusing on finances.
This difficult period has taken a heartbreaking toll on Anna’s physical and mental health. At this time, we’re hoping you will somehow find it in your heart to help out Anna & her family. We would be forever grateful. Please remember- no donation is to small and every bit of kindness will mean more than words can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please continue to keep both Anna, and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Mona Neri
