Anna is a beloved 34-year-old daughter, sister, girlfriend, and friend with a heart of gold and a passion for giving to others. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 31 and these last 3 years have been the toughest years of her life. While she has made progress in her recovery, her journey is not yet over. Now is our time to give back to this amazing woman, to help her, cheer her on, and pray for her health.
Anna's Story
While working as a Federal Civilian employee with the United States Air Force, Anna was working and living abroad in Germany. She was growing her 10-year corporate career supporting the United States armed services and ensuring the safety of thousands of soldiers throughout the Middle East and Europe.
Her entire world got turned upside down when she discovered a 9 cm lump in her breast. Anna went through biopsy, testing, and a diagnosis in a language she couldn't understand, alone in a foreign German clinic.
Terrified, alone and newly diagnosed with breast cancer, she made the hard decision to leave Germany and move back to her hometown of Detroit for treatment.
Treatment
Over the last 3 years, a roller coaster of research, education, and reflection has led her down a path of healing using alternative methods in order to preserve her fertility so that she can start a family of her own when she is healthy enough.
Anna has traveled all over the country to top cancer clinics focusing on treatments that simultaneously strengthen the immune system while receiving the necessary chemo treatments she needs to kill the diseased cells.
She has taken charge of her health by making drastic lifestyle changes to promote a healing environment in her body that has helped shrink her tumor including implementing a green plant based diet, exercise, supplementation, detoxification, oxygen therapy, vitamin C IVs, and emotional healing.
But her journey has not been without setbacks. Stress and overworking worsened Anna's condition and she stepped down from her corporate career and pursued a director position at a wellness institute. This allowed her to be in an environment that promoted healing while she helped others. Unfortunately, Anna lost her position when the facility closed and she found out her cancer had spread to her lymph.
She recently completed 10 weeks of chemo with excellent results but can no longer afford the necessary treatments to continue the progress she has made.
Our Ask
Almost all of Anna's treatments have been paid out of pocket with costs ranging from $6,000 - $10,000 each week and not covered under her high-cost health insurance. She and her family have exhausted life savings and all of their financial resources in the effort to save Anna's life.
We ask for your kind and generous help in supporting Anna as she still needs a year of additional treatments as maintenance to the intensive chemo treatments she recently completed.
Your contributions will directly go to these critical integrative treatments: Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT), low dose chemotherapy, ozone therapy, multiple IVs, an extensive supplementation regimen, diagnostic testing, frequent MPI/PET/ultrasounds, scans, doctor visits, comprehensive blood panels, electromagnetic lymph massages, psychological support, lodging, airfare, organic food, and many other unexpected financial burdens.
A New Purpose
This cancer diagnosis has changed Anna's life in the most unexpected ways. Not only has she made drastic changes in her own life but has found a new purpose in inspiring others to do the same through health and wellness coaching.
She began the changes she implemented in her own life by working under a master raw food chef preparing organic raw food meals for guests at a wellness institute.
She graduated from the #1 Health Coaching Program in the U.S. at Duke Integrative Medicine and is committed to helping others facing a cancer diagnosis through some of the scariest times of their lives.
She also met the love of her life, Dr. Tarman Aziz, who was serving as an educator and health coach at Hippocrates Health Institute while attending their Comprehensive Cancer Wellness program.
Tarman has become an instrumental part of her support system and they have become a holistic power couple in Metro Detroit, offering workshops and health coaching on whole body health.
Giving Back in Her Time of Need
Throughout her entire healing journey, Anna has been an open book for sharing her story with others, speaking at various events, volunteering her time for Plant Based Nutrition Support Group and in her local Polish community, and working intimately coaching others diagnosed with cancer.
"Anna was a godsend at a very difficult time in my life. Talking to a fellow cancer survivor made me realize I wasn't alone in this battle. Someone understood and related to my fears. Knowing that we were battle buddies was very helpful for me. I could tell her anything and get the support and encouragement I needed to keep going."
- Kris, fellow cancer warrior
"I was blessed to meet Anna and even though I only had a couple of sessions with her before she moved, she put me on the healthy path of using food as medicine. I learned the Hippocrates protocol from her and she shared information about plant-based nutrition. She is a wonderful example of helping the body build the immune system to fight and prevent disease."
- Cheryl, fellow cancer warrior
"Right after I got diagnosed, I got in touch with Anna because she worked with my sister. Anna knew a gentleman who had the same tumor as me and he was Polish. He let me into his home and Anna came along to help translate some of the differences in our communication. She helped him explain his whole routine, what supplements to take, the types of water he drank, the food he drank, and other health modalities he used to help fight his cancer. With everything being so new and scary to me after diagnosis, this gave me an amazing feeling of confidence that I could actually do this. Without Anna helping me start my fight, I would not be as far as I am in my cancer journey. "
- Glenn, fellow cancer warrior
Thank You
Anna, Tarman, her family, and friends are beyond grateful and appreciative of the continual love, encouragement, prayers, and support that she has received from family, friends, clients, and co-workers from the beginning of Anna’s journey. Anna’s continuous faith in God has been her anchor during these trying times. Anna’s dream when she fully recovers is to have a healthy and happy family, open a Wellness Institute to support others healing from cancer and other chronic diseases, and give back to the community by being a health advocate and offering her own experience and knowledge on her success with healing from cancer!
