Update: today was the day 16th July and she has had the cut, it was around 15 inches of hair to be donated to such a great cause.

Annaliese’s (Real) First Haircut for a Beautiful Cause ‍♀️

Hi everyone,

Our wonderful daughter Annaliese is getting ready for a very special moment — her first proper haircut at 9 years old! (We say “first,” though we should mention that she did take matters into her own hands once with a pair of craft scissors when she was little — but we’re not counting that one!)

This time, it’s different. Annaliese has made the incredible decision to donate her beautiful, long hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions. Their work brings confidence, comfort, and smiles to children going through unimaginably difficult times.

We’re so proud that Annaliese, completely on her own, chose to do something so kind and thoughtful. She wanted her first official haircut to mean something — and what could be more meaningful than helping another child feel brave and beautiful?

Alongside the hair donation, we’re also raising money for The Little Princess Trust to support their ongoing work. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference and helps this amazing charity continue to change lives.

Our fundraising target is £700 — this is the full cost of providing one real-hair wig to a child in need. £550 covers the cost of making the wig, and £150 covers a professional wig fitting to ensure it’s just right.
