Hi my name is Steven my granddaughter anna is a mad Sunderland fan who plays for her local footy team Anna who is a season ticket holder loves going to home and away games making the newspaper more than once for her presence in the crowd
so here is what has happened Anna got hit in the face by a tennis ball this made her gums swell up so on the 18th of June we went to Sunderland hospital when she was seen .she had to be transported to the Newcastle RVI this is where Anna was diagnosed with AML ( acute myeloid leukaemia ) which is a fast rapid acting cancer of cancer so since the 19th June 18th June we got admitted to Sunderland following a gum infection and then ambulance to RVI Newcastle 19th June where she’s been in since which she’s undergone numerous operations/procedures , blood transfusions, platelet infusions , many infections and complications chemo and this is only the start of more procedures to come the family has another child who is very young .anna now is so weak that she has to get in a chair to go anywhere at all and the parents are trying to go as much as they can with a sick child and a young boy at home
the funds will be used for travelling back and forward to hospital for the many procedures to come. This will also be used to help for days out over the summer and anything Anna requires to make progress in the future
