Hi all -

First off, thank you to all of those who have helped so far. I wanted to give some more specific information and more about things that have happened. I think you all know quite a bit of it but there is a lot so I can imagine it is hard to keep up with.

No need to read all of this if you don’t want to - I’ve outlined the amounts I need below and would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Also, no I unfortunately do not qualify for disability insurance so I can’t use that. I am happy to show receipts or anything people need to do or have you pay directly. Also, I don’t have any money in my 401(k) - I used that already. I didn’t have a ton anyway - I assume most people know I grew up pretty difficult and had to put myself through school along with my mom taking loans.

1. The Go Fund Me has Kumars listed as the beneficiary. My bank account wasn't linking correctly and rather than smashing my computer (kidding), I asked that he take it and then he Venmo's it to me and I have a debit card from there which I can use to pay things. For those of you who don't know Kumars, we have been best friends since we were 14/15 YO in HS together in Illinois. One of the truest friends you could ask for. He immediately sends me the money and has spotted so much of his own when I needed it too. I realize this could be confusing.

2. Most of you have probably not heard the most fun development with my brother which is unfortunate but let's just say we thought my SIL and little niece, Abby, who will be 2 on 10/31 we thought may come stay with me for a bit and then Abby could go to my neighbor Patti's daycare. Let's just say that fell through. You can all maybe read between the lines of what could have happened without me disclosing too much personal information about other people's business. I obviously cannot afford this rent on my own now and have had two different times where someone was going to move in and it didn't work out and so I am not just being irresponsible and fantastical.

3. I do have a 9 month contract job on the horizon (FT) but it has just been put on hold as the woman had some family health issues. So I am kind of in a weird spot on hold right now and trying to figure out just if I am going to stay in the Bay or go home for a bit to Memphis. The hard part with that is my doctor’s are in California which complicates some things.

4. I think many of you know I have PTSD and a great psychiatrist and therapist (who has been kind enough to delay billing me until I have more $). I think and hope most of you know, I am diligent about my mental health. I am not the kind of person to just let myself drop into decline and pretend that everything is peachy.

5. My stepdad was helping me A LOT and what a wonderful person he is as I’ve had a weird place with work right now. Many of you know I had a complex relationship with my late father but I definitely do not have a relationship with his family, so they aren't an option. My stepsister is going through some things right now too and my stepdad simply can’t help as much. I don’t know how much you know about how I grew up but my mom never had opportunities to go to college. My mom has retirement which is not much from SURS (State Retirement in Illinois) and it isn’t much but she also helps as much as she can. My dog Jelly just had a crazy abscess that burst on his neck from a foxtail and a few other foxtails.

Here are my expenses currently and I am working with my landlord to see what they might be able to do to help me on the below but no dice so far. I don’t imagine things being like this forever, I just need some help getting back on my feet. Also, it is really difficult for me with my house right now because there is a lot I need to sell and get rid of but also the hypervigilance I deal with as part of my PTSD is a big deal.

Mike M refuses to help me in any way. No joke, he lied to me about living with some of “our” friends for 6+ months and made them feel bad for him and he was paying NO rent or almost none and my stepdad had done so much for us. I never thought I would be so happy to say I cannot wait to be divorced. Which has not been an easy process either.

I think or hope everyone knows I am a hard worker and I try to be there for folks when I can be too. I really, really appreciate all of this and I think you know it is hard for to ask for too.

Rent for August - $3,350

Rent for September - $4,400

Rent for October - $4,200

Federal Student Loans - $1,268.70 - I should be able to pause these after making this payment.

PGE (Power and Gas) - $157.50 - I am enrolled in a program where they give me a discounted rate here already

EBMud (Water) - $681.51

Car Payment - $792 (Once I figure out what is happening job wise, I may sell my car but hopefully can afford to keep it)

Psychiatrist - $150 (I see my psychiatrist once every 6 months unless it is an emergency. Typically he runs the Behavioral Health Center at the VA in

Therapist - $1,400 (She has been really great about delaying payment here and dropping my rate down to $100 a session but she is very important).

Hey y’all - I’ve been having a hard time and am going through a divorce but really just want to stay in my house, make my car payment, student loan payments and payments for Jelly for a few more months.

This is weird and embarrassing for me but I need to just ask. I don’t want it to be weird for people to ask or for me to either.

My rent is way high as I ask for a few months here still while I try to get healthy and then my car payments and basic expenses.
