Anna Needs help to cover some bills

My mom was released on Bond thanks to the help of those around us and installments on the bond payment. Now we are in the process of figuring out how to keep her here. She is still at risk of being deported as we wait for a court date and the cost of a lawyer to help is a steep one while still paying for the bond payments. With her being sick from the detainment we are trying to figure out next steps while caring for her, We are still in need of help with affording how to keep her here in the United States with us. Thanks to all those who have helped so far and for supporting us through figuring out this terrible and unexpected situation. Any help, suggestions or words of support are greatly appreciated!

On January 7th 2025, My mom, Anna Cichowska, was detained by ICE when she was at DIA to make sure her greencard paperwork was all correct. Anna came here legally and has held a greencard in the US for 27 years and has had it renewed multiple times. She has been held at the Aurora ICE detention facility since then.

My mom, dad and I moved to the US 27 years ago. My father was an abusive man who physically and mentally abused us for years. Because of his abuse, my mother turned to alcohol and made some bad choices. She served time for her actions in 2008. My dad left us in 2012, and she went to rehab after, getting support for her alcohol use, depression and the remnants of the abuse. In 2014, she met an amazing man who showed her love and kindness. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and passed away with my mom by his side in 2022. After he passed, she moved in with us to help with bills and childcare. She has recovered significantly and is now a strong grandmother and lives with my me my husband and our two children. She helps with childcare and with raising my two wonderful kids as well as working at a hospital to help us pay bills.

While working with an immigration lawyer, ICE court has set her bond at $7500, attempting to deport her for her minor offenses from 17 years ago!! With two kids, rent and life expenses, we cannot afford her bond amount. We miss her greatly and want her home. We know times are hard, but if you would be able to help out we would be incredibly grateful.
