13 years ago I would spend my time in between classes at college reading triathlon magazines in the library and dreaming about accomplishing one some day. 11 years later, no longer having the use of my legs I completed my first triathlon! What an epically euphoric experience, to accomplish a goal that I thought also became paralyzed at the same time as my legs.
Nine months after my first triathlon I competed at Nationals and took 2nd and earned my way onto the USA World Triathlon team. Now with many more hours of training and hopefully with your help I will compete at the World Championships in London on September 11th!
BTW keep in mind the rewards levels are just to make it easier, but you can donate any amount you'd like. :)
I have until July 30th, before I need to put over $1,000 down and fully commit to this!
I put together a guestimation of my expenses
$1500 airfare
$1000 hotel (this is sharing a room! $150/night plus taxes)
$235 race registration fee
$300 team uniform
$110 transportation to/from airport with all my gear
$200 food
TOTAL $3345
This site takes about 8%, so for this amount I need closer to $3600
