Support A4A and let’s get families out fishing!

Angling4Autism Society provides a variety of opportunities for families of individuals with autism, the ability to experience fishing and boating on the west coast of British Columbia.

Our Family Fishing Experience (FFE) Programs sponsor 12 families annually to visit the west coast of Vancouver Island. Each FFE is four days in length, and is all inclusive. Accommodation, boats, guides, fuel and meals are covered. FFE is held at Eagle Nook Resort and Moutcha Bay Resort.

Our Day Programs consist of four hour trips, spread over summer weekends in local waters. Family’s register on a first come, first served basis and experience a variety of fishing opportunities.

Individuals with autism have a broad range of conditions often characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and non verbal cues and communication. This can at times limit their access to what is deemed ‘typical’ societal opportunities. Angling4Autism would help bridge the gap by creating an inclusive opportunity for these individuals and their family members.

I am looking to fundraise in order to continue to have families expenses covered such that there are no out of pocket costs incurred.

All proceeds from this campaign go directly to Angling4Autism Society.
