Hi my name is Shane I have been offering young and vulnerable members of the community opportunities to take up Angling as a method of engaging with the outdoor environment, along with recruiting older members of the community as volunteers supporting these planned angling events.

I have been running these regular sessions over the last 3 years and have enjoyed seeing both many young people from a range of backgrounds grow in confidence, self-esteem, and in learning a new skill. Along with developing positive life changing life skills and social skills through their interaction with the Mentors and myself.

I am also able to say that these sessions offer many older experienced Anglers an opportunity to share their own love of Angling, Environmental conservation and the benefits offered from engaging in activity in the outdoors in particular around water.

All of the sessions, training and expenses relating to these planned sessions are reliant upon fundraising as all Angling Mentors events are offed free
