Final Update
My beautiful sister Angela so very quickly passed away in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 12th October 2023. She was very comfortable and was so glad that she finally got be Mrs Angela Leach albeit for such a short time. Myself and the family are comforted in the support and donations you have given and has made us so proud to know how well loved Angela was. We would like to use all your kind donations towards the funeral expenses and hope that you will all be in agreement. My sister's final journey. Good bye and all our love. Gone but will never be forgotten.
Your big sister, Jacqueline xxx
My Sister Angela
We all know how precious life is and when something happens to turn your life around, it re-affirms our grasp for life.
My little sister Angela has been living with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (bone cancer) for the last 5 years. Unfortunately she had to give up work but over the years has been very active with fund raising for her local community in Athea, County Limerick, Ireland and is very well known and liked in her community where she has lived for the last 11 years. Always involved with voluntary work and walks for life to raise funds for cancer, she truly is an ambassador for this horrible disease.
Originally from Scotland, she now lives in Ireland with her partner Michael and my nephew Connor who I absolutely adore. Unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worse for Angela and her cancer progression has meant that it has now spread to her organs. Not too long ago she had to undergo radiotherapy for tumours at the base of her skull which went very well and we thought this would be the worst she’d have to go through for the foreseeable future. It was not the case and she has had to undergo chemotherapy for the tumours that had progressed to her organs which has led to blood transfusions, infection and ultimately sepsis.
Now Angela has a very aggressive and quickly progressing cancer which is slowly but surely making her weaker and more unwell. As such, Angela is now in a lovely hospice getting some wonderful care and attention. Her spirit, sense of humour and fun has never left her and she always has a smile and a bit of chat and laughter with the staff as well as all her friends and family.
Angela lights up the room with here infectious smile and determination to make others feel happy and enjoy themselves. Maybe something to do with her extensive career in the travel industry working overseas as a rep to start with and then managing resorts. She has made many wonderful friends throughout her time both overseas and in the many other areas of her life. Lots of lifelong memories have been made with all her friends both at home in Scotland and her home in Ireland.
Thank you for reading up to this point and all that I am asking is your help and support to help my sister Angela and Michael get married. To give her a little something special to treasure and enjoy whilst she is still well enough. Love is to be cherished and ultimately I would love a little bit of the glitz and glam of a wedding just for her. To help her give her son Connor who’s only 12 as much support as possible over the coming weeks. To let her cherish every single minute of every single day with as much comfort and dignity and to be surrounded by love and friendship.
Each and every one of us are going through something in our lives and I appreciate that you may or may not be in a position to donate to our Go Fund Me Page. But all that I ask is that you take the time, reflect and share this with others.
Many thanks.

An update, everything has happened so quickly and I was too slow. Angela made Michael the happiest man and they've been married in the hospice. No glitz and glam but the hospice staff made Angela's room lovely. It's only a matter of time and I would love any donation to go to enjoying the final times we have and help with what we are soon to face. Can't bring myself to say what that is yet. Love and cherish what you have as sometimes life takes away a shining star too quickly. Thank you so much. Jacqui xxx
