Hi. In 2024 I was a lucky enough to holiday in Jamaica. I loved it and left a bit of my heart in Montego Bay. Before going I "met" Angel online who runs her own tours as a business. Then I met her for real. She took us to Appleton's and Bob Marley's house over two days and back to the airport where I promised one day I would return! Being a local she showed us places buses couldn't go and I was shocked. People in the valleys making houses from what they can, kids smiling but having nothing. We left all we could to help her, her son and his school. She was part of our holiday and beautiful inside and out.

This weekend I watched in horror on tv when hurricane Melissa bombarded the island unable to imagine how they'd survive it.

18 hours since the storm left I've heard from Angel she is safe but they lost everything. I wish I could jump on a plane and help. They need it.

But all I can do from my warm and safe home is try to fundraise for her. So if you can, please do and I'll be sending every penny electronically to her in the hope it makes a small bit of different and gives some hope. I still plan to return some day as promised.
