Angel Gown Sewers
Donation protected
“Angel Gown Sewers” is a small group of local volunteers organized by Jean Lee, a retired labor and delivery nurse residing in Pennsauken, New Jersey. These sewers make customized gowns for babies in the hospital that were stillborn or have passed away shortly after birth. The gowns are given to the parents and are sometimes used for final photos and for burial services.
We have over 29 volunteer sewers and will be providing gowns to over 15 hospitals in the Central and South Jersey and Philadelphia areas. These “Angel Gowns” are lovingly made from donated wedding gowns creating a gift of love from both a bride and a seamstress meant to honor not only a precious baby but their family as well.
All donated funds would be used to assist the Angel Gown Sewers in purchasing needed supplies for the gowns, including white flannel, satin ribbon, packaging and for the cards that accompany the “Angel Gowns”.
"Those we have held in our arms for a short while, we hold in our hearts forever."
