Andy's transition surgery
Donation protected
My sister, Andy Warner, is seeking help to get through her transition surgery. Transitioning is a very challenging and complicated process. Andy was on a waitlist for two years trying to obtain a surgery date in Vancouver, a long time waiting to be one's true self. Over and over, she attended appointments that seemed hopeful of getting a surgery date, only to be consistently disappointed.
She took matters into her own hands and successfully obtained an appointment in Montreal on September 26. While she is elated to finally have a date booked, she faces a mountain of costs to cover. Surgery is an excruciating and arduous process, rendering Andy unable to work for three months afterwards. Because of this, she is looking for help to cover:
- Rent for 3 months
- Food for 3 months
- Post operational care
- Flights to and from Montreal
- (Updated) Surgery to reduce Adam's apple
My sister is a creative, hilarious, and spirited person. I have watched these qualities struggle to present themselves as Andy navigates living in a body she was not meant for. As Andy has progressed through her transition journey, I increasingly see her true personality emerge accompanied by joy, compassion, and laughter.
Please help Andy complete this journey so she can finally live the life she was meant to.
