I’m raising money to benefit Alder Hey Children's Charity, and any donation will help make an impact.

In March 2024, our beautiful niece Sophia came into our lives. Unfortunately she was born with a number of health issues which left her in Alder Hey needing critical care from the day she was born. Since then, and for the first 18 months of her life she has been in and out of hospital with illnesses, undergone 6 operations and numerous tests and generally being unwell, all under the care of the brilliant staff at Alder Hey. However, she has now come through the other side to be the most loving, happiest and determined child you could ever wish for. She is now clear of any more surgeries and is enjoying life growing up. She lights up our days just by hearing her voice or seeing her face. She has a wonderful cheekiness, a beaming smile that makes your heart melt and is so clever for her age. We cherish the time we get to spend with such a special little girl. And all this wouldn't have been possible if not for the amazing work and people at Alder Hey. Without their effort and care, we would not have been so lucky to make these memories with our Sophia. The work they do is incredible. The way they have looked after Sophia and her mum and dad through everything, the support provided, is second to none. We are so thankful for everything they have done and so to show my appreciation, and to thank them for looking after our family during the most difficult times, I wanted to give something back. Please give whatever you can to make a difference and help the doctors and nurses treat and care for sick children and help their families so that they to can create as many wonderful memories as we have with Sophia.
