As friends and colleagues of Andy, we are asking your help in supporting him during this time of need. Andy was ready to go to work Monday morning when he realized his car had been stolen. He had to call into work to say he wouldn’t be able to help drive a group of boys to their basketball camp. This was not the way he wanted to start his day, or his week, knowing he wouldn’t be able to show up for these boys who counted on him.
He works at a local nonprofit, Boys To Men Mentoring, as a group facilitator who supports at-risk school-aged boys throughout San Diego County. He drives hundreds of miles throughout the year serving the boys and their families.
Come Summertime, he and his colleagues host events all over the region. These events help keep the boys engaged in fun and productive ways, from cleaning up the beach and assisting a soup kitchen to surfing and going to the batting cages and basketball camp. All of these are put on by the organization where Andy plays an active and integral role. Many people including the boys depend on Andy to show up for them. He depends on his car to show up for them.
With all of these events happening as summer is just beginning, Andy needs a new car. He is dedicated to the people in his life and puts in 150% everyday. Your donation isn’t just for a car, but for Andy and the many communities he serves throughout San Diego.
Any amount is welcomed for this incredible colleague of ours and mentor! If you or someone you know can donate please do so. Thank you!
