Andy Kieffer and Family Support

We are raising funds for our brother Andy and his family. The family’s medical journey started in 2019 when their daughter Macie was diagnosed with a “complex” single ventricular heart prior to birth. Macie has a rare combination of heart defects that required an open-heart surgery at 8 days old, a second heart surgery at 4 months old, a third heart surgery when she was 3 followed by the placement of a pacemaker in 2022. Macie is scheduled for another heart surgery this summer.

Recently, the family’s medical journey became more complicated when Andy, Macie's father, was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer that has spread to his liver and lungs. The cancer is not curable but the doctors are confident that it will react well to chemo to keep it manageable for as long as possible. Andy spent a week at MD Anderson in Houston to get the full diagnosis but is able to receive his chemo treatments in Hays. He will travel back to MD Anderson for future scans.

Andy’s family will continue to incur medical costs as well as travel costs related to both Andy’s treatment and Macie’s surgeries. Additionally, Andy will have more time away from work while he receives treatments to fight the cancer and while he supports his family through Macie’s surgeries. Donations will help to offset these expenses and are greatly appreciated. Prayers are an added bonus.
