Andrew’s Family needs our help and support

As of June 1st, I have officially been cleared to begin physiotherapy. This is a major milestone in my recovery journey, as it means I can finally start putting weight on my right leg and begin the long process of relearning how to walk and function normally again.

While this is exciting news, the road is still far from easy. The pain in my leg remains severe, and some days it is more than I care to admit. There are moments when it drains every bit of energy I have. Even so, I am grateful for every step forward, no matter how small.

My concussion symptoms continue to improve slowly. My vision is becoming more stable, and I am experiencing fewer issues with concentration than I was in the months following the accident. The rest of my injuries are healing well, and my next follow-up appointment regarding my hip is scheduled for late July.

This battle has been long, and there are still many unanswered questions about that night. Some of those questions are difficult to think about, and there are days when the emotional recovery feels just as challenging as the physical recovery. Through it all, I have been reminded how precious life truly is.

I know beyond any doubt that I am blessed to still be here, to spend time with my family, and to witness God’s hand at work throughout this journey. My wife has been my rock, standing beside me through every setback, every appointment, every painful day, and every victory. I thank God daily for the gift that she is.

I am also incredibly thankful for the support, prayers, encouragement, and kindness shown by our community. So many people have reached out, lifted us up in prayer, offered help, and walked alongside us during this difficult season. Your support has carried us through some very dark days.

Most of all, I give all glory and praise to God. Even in the midst of pain, uncertainty, and hardship, He has continued to provide, strengthen, comfort, and bless our family in ways we could never have imagined. We have seen His faithfulness over and over again.

Thank you all for continuing to pray for my recovery. There is still a long road ahead, but I am trusting God’s plan, taking one step at a time, and looking forward with hope.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
