Andrew Recover from failed carjacking

This past Tuesday, my brother walked outside to a failed carjacking that left his car windows broken and drive shaft mangled. They failed in stealing the car, but left him with about $2,000 in damages, and his insurance deductible is also that amount, so he must come fully out of pocket.
