The hole in our hearts left by the loss of Andrew will be filled with memories and the marks of his legacy for years to come. Andrew loved being a father and nothing made him happier than the time he spent with his wonderful wife, Joy, and their children Irina(21), Jonah(9), and Noelle(7), and step children, Mae(19), and Sophia (16). He also was widely admired by and meant the world to his friends and colleagues at the Appalachian Mountain Club where he was both a builder of trails and a builder of passion and confidence among AMC’s Trails staff and crews. No project was too daunting, especially if it was a chance to create something lasting with partners and colleagues that would also forge permanent friendships. His calm and practical perspective paired with his fun and kind ways to lead or coach people to do their best were his trademark. So it’s now our turn to pitch in and support his family to help them weather this time with a bit more ease.

Who we are: We are longtime friends of the family who want to show our love and support.

How the funds will be spent: The beneficiary, Joy, will be choosing how she best sees fit to use these funds for her family.
