We urgently request your support for Andrea Armero and her two daughters, ages 13 and 8 respectively, who were detained at the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas, from December 13th to February 11th of this year. After the lockdown, my 13-year-old daughter had a suicidal episode; afterwards, she was diagnosed and medicated. After two months separated from their home and loved ones, despite their full cooperation with the authorities, they were returned to their country of origin. The main objective of this fundraiser is clear: the family, after being deported to their country of origin, lacks tangible, solid community resources and a reliable support network, as they are currently in need.
Andrea is a devoted mother who endures the unimaginable: her daughters, who should be in school, faced confinement instead of experiencing their childhood and adolescence.Their eldest daughter has been diagnosed with major depression and anxiety and is on psychiatric medication, which they were only provided with for three days upon their release from detention. Their youngest daughter has been diagnosed with asthma and requires inhaled medication, which they currently lack. These innocent children have lost precious time in detention, given the family's difficult situation, as they had neither a home prepared for them nor transportation arranged to support their immigration process outside the detention center. Donations will fund essential needs and reintegration resources, while also strengthening trust. Every donation, however modest, promotes compassion and dignity for this family.Consider the impact this has on innocent girls and a loving mother. Your support can help provide them with a home, access to healthcare, education, and basic necessities.
Thank you for your support. Together, we stand for compassion.
