A few weeks ago, my husband Kevin was hit by a car while riding his e-bike in Marathon. The accident left him with a broken hip requiring three surgeries and what will be months of physical therapy and recovery.

Kevin is one of the most selfless people I know — always the first to help others without hesitation and never asking for anything in return. Now, he’s the one who needs help.

Because of the extent of the injury, Kevin is unable to work right now. We’ve also had to leave our home — a boat — because he physically can’t get on or off it in his condition. We’re currently renting a place on land during his recovery, which has added a major financial strain on top of the medical bills and lost income.

We’re hoping to raise $10,000 to help cover:

• Rent and living expenses during recovery

• Medical bills and rehabilitation costs

• Basic needs while Kevin is unable to work
