As we have discussed, DU AAUP would like to contract professional, independent analysis of DU finances. Based on our best attempt at reading the non-transparent university finances, we believe we work at a wealthy and prestigious university that has plenty of money to pay its employees fairly, but it spends on unproven and expensive vanity projects, high-paid administrators, and is too miserly and mismanaged with its billion dollar endowment. The administration wants to cut employees and raise prices - the wrong approach. For a professional, external audit of DU finances, we would like to hire Professor Howard Bunsis. Here is an example of his work at Wesleyan. His cost is $7,865, and we have $4,380 of our past AAUP Organizing Grant in the bank. Help us raise the $3,500 needed to conduct our analysis!
