I hope this message reaches you well. I am khalid Mohanna , a 20-year-old Palestinian from Gaza City. My family consists of my father Eng. Ziyad , my mother Abeer, my sisters Arch. Mariam ,Mona and Seba , my brother Mohammed.

I am here to share our story as a family in Gaza and how our lives have transformed and changed greatly during this fierce war that is still ongoing and we are still suffering from it, and I ask for help to save me and my family.

We are suffering here on all humanitarian levels, and day after day this unbearable suffering increases. Since the first days of the war, we have been forced to leave our home under the threat of violent bombardment and amidst terrifying scenes of devastation and devastation. We tried to take the few of our belongings that we could carry on the way.

We could not even say goodbye to our house, which holds all our memories and happy moments, because of the horror of the situation and the intensity of fear. After we left, the building was targeted more than once and completely destroyed. Since that time, we have been suffering from displacement and the lack of shelter for me and my family, and here we are. More than 170 days of war, we are still without a home, without work, and without education. We spend most of the day trying to provide food in light of the high prices and lack of resources. At any moment, a house next to us could be demolished. Every night we cannot sleep because of the sound of bombs. And missiles.

Everyone has a dream, but unfortunately everything has been destroyed and there is no clear future here in light of this great devastation and the continuation of the war. I am Khaled. I completed a full year of study in the specialty of human medicine, which I had dreamed of since childhood. That year I achieved great success and my passion for this great profession increased, but everything was destroyed in an instant. There was no longer any future or dreams. Education was stopped because of the war and it was destroyed. All schools and universities are in the Gaza Strip, with permanent power outages and the lack of good internet. I cannot even search for what I missed, nor can I continue distance learning. I still do not know my fate as a university student in this city where everything has been destroyed. I want to start. I want to go abroad again and continue my education, and stop lighting firewood to cook food and constantly searching for food and selling what can be sold to save money. There are now only tents and fear and no place for ambition or dreams. I want to start building the future outside the borders. This city and I continue to strive and stop constantly searching for the minimum requirements of life and I want to achieve my dream of saving people and treating them.

My sister, Mariam, 23 years old, is an architect. She graduated this year, a few months before the war. She loved her specialty and hoped that it would open a wide path for her towards a better tomorrow and that she would find a job worthy of those creations that she had always dreamed of implementing on the ground, but unfortunately the war destroyed everything and there was no longer a city at all for her to dream of rebuilding and developing, and her university degree was not lucky to obtain. Before her university was destroyed, she now dreams of leaving this city full of destruction, devastation, and war, in which life, food, water, electricity, and the Internet have been cut off. She dreams of completing what she started and of surviving outside those borders that restrict dreams and within which there are no minimum requirements for life. Building herself and her future and being able to work, support our family, and help my parents in the engineering profession, which they stopped practicing under these difficult circumstances.

My sister Mona, 22 years old, is an ambitious accountant and also graduated this year. She was able to find a job shortly before the war and was very happy with this new place, but also like everyone in Gaza, happiness turned to sadness with this war, so much so that her workplace was leveled to the ground, now She can't continue her life ,she cant find job, can't develop herself or save her family unless she obtains support to move outside the borders of Gaza.

My sister Saba, 18 years old, was unable to complete high school, which she had started with great enthusiasm and determination. She was thinking about how she would pass this difficult school year and take the first step to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor, but suddenly she found her books burned, her school destroyed, and she began to suffer through a difficult year of war. It destroys her ambitions, extinguishes her enthusiasm, and replaces it with sadness, frustration, and fear. She does not know what her fate will be in this city, and she wants to survive with her family and continue her educational journey.

Also, my brother Mohammad, 14 years old, also stopped his school education and stopped practicing his hobbies of playing ball and drawing. He started helping me provide today’s needs, which we find with difficulty, and he turned from a child on the verge of life into a child who suffers at all levels and suffers from terrifying scenes of war and destruction. And the bombing and fear, and he does not know his fate in this city, and he hopes that he and all our family can survive to a better place where we can start again without fear of death at every moment.

Finally, my mother and father, I feel constantly helpless towards them. I hope I can change this bitter reality and make them happy. This war has filled them with sadness and made them lose everything they built 25 years ago. They are unable to offer us what they were offering before the war, and they still dream of providing a happy life. Peaceful life for them and their children, a life full of peace, success, and love away from massacres and war, and for them to be by our side, supportive, without fear and anxiety.
