Build a Water Well in Memory of Nabil Ghalyeh — Sadaqah Jariyah

On April 25, 2025, I lost my beloved brother, Nabil Ghalyeh, to pancreatic cancer. He was truly my everything. Nabil was a fighter—he faced his illness with strength, patience, and unwavering love for his family.

Nabil was not just a brother—he was like a father to all of us. A devoted father to 8 children and a caring sibling among 11, he was the heart of our family. He never turned away from anyone in need, and his generosity, kindness, and loyalty touched everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

His dedication to Allah was clear in the way he lived. He performed Hajj twice and made Umrah three times. Even in his final days, he spoke of his love for the sacred journey—saying that if he were cured, the first place he would go would be to perform Umrah again. That was the purity of his heart and the depth of his faith.

In his honor, I’m starting this Sadaqah Jariyah project to build a water well in a community that urgently needs clean water. This well will provide life-sustaining water for years to come—and more importantly, it will serve as a continuous charity for Nabil, inshaAllah.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for them."

(Sahih Muslim)

This well will be a lasting legacy for Nabil—bringing relief to others while earning him reward in the hereafter.

May Allah forgive him, shower him with mercy, widen his grave, and reunite us with him in the highest level of Jannah.
